CONSUMER ACCOUNT REP III - Lake Country Power has an opportunity for a full-time Consumer Account Rep III in our Virginia, MN office.  The person selected for this position will serve as a receptionist and will be responsible for handling personal visits of cooperative members and other visitors. This position is also responsible for assisting cooperative members with electric accounts and billing procedure questions; receiving and recording payments, maintaining an accurate, balanced cash drawer; creating daily bank deposits; and maintaining and updating member accounts. 

2 years post secondary education and 2-5 years experience with customer service is preferred.  Candidates must be highly detail oriented to produce accurate work results; must also have excellent problem solving and ten-key knowledge.

DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR - East Central Energy is seeking applicants for a distribution system operator at their Braham location.  Successful candidates will have knowledge and experience in electric distribution systems and the dispatching of crews during regular working hours as well as during severe storm situations requiring emergency outage restoration.  Applicants should possess familiarity with SCADA, reading maps, and utilizing computer software to monitor and interpret electric system conditions.  This position requires an associates degree in electric power technology or equivalent, as well as the ability to work shifts that support a 24/7 schedule.

JOURNEYMAN LINEMAN OR APPRENTICE JOURNEYMAN LINEMAN (FIELD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES) - Consumers Energy, a consumer-owned energy company headquartered in Marshalltown, IA, has one position opening for either a Field Service Representative or Apprentice Field Service Representative.  The position hired will report to the Nevada district office and work under the direct supervision of the Nevada Area Supervisor (foreman).  Position performs numerous duties related to electric and natural gas distribution that includes construction, maintenance and repair of electric distribution lines, natural gas and related facilities, plus service work and other related and assigned duties.   

Must have high school diploma or GED, plus completion of technical training in electric and/or gas maintenance, construction and safety.  Must have a valid Iowa CDL license within 90 days after being employed.

APPRENTICE LINEWORKER - Position Summary: Assists Journeymen Lineworkers in the construction and maintenance of electric distribution systems, in training to become a Journeyman Lineworker. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Helps build lines and install line devices, as related to the construction and maintenance of electric systems. 2. Assists in the completion of work orders, job orders and other assigned projects necessary for the operation of the electric distribution system, including installation of transformers and other electrical apparatus, pulling cable, operating hand tools, driving construction equipment, etc. 3. Assists Lineworkers in restoring service from outages. 4. Assists in the proper accounting of materials used on the job and of materials being retired from service. 5. Performs simple repairs on machinery. 6. Progresses through the company's formal training program to become a Journeyman Lineworker. 7. Promotes a safe working environment by wearing protective equipment allowing safe work practices, and following company polices and procedures and government regulations. 8. Contributes to the dept's effectiveness by receiving and providing info as necessary, promoting teamwork, implementing directives and working in support of the company's goals and objectives. 9. Experience should include:  a Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or finance, and six (6) years accounting experience.  A minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience preferred; or an Associate Degree in a field listed above, plus nine (9) years of accounting experience, of which at least three (3) were in an electric utility, two (2) years supervisory.  The successful applicant must be self-motivated, dependable, have a high degree of integrity, and possess strong leadership capabilities.
