Safety Demos

If your school or organization would like a speaker at an upcoming event, consider your local electric cooperative. We welcome the opportunity to present programs on electrical safety and energy conservation. Many co-ops have a special high-voltage demonstration they can present to schools, scouting groups, etc., which teaches the dangers of electricity and how to deal with special situations when electricity is involved. Using a variety of different scenarios, demonstrations teach about the path of electricity and how to stay out of that path.

On occasion your local electric cooperative may also be able to bring out a bucket truck and demonstrate the safety gear used by linemen to perform their vital role in keeping the power flowing in your community. Contact your local electric co-op if your group would like to tour their facilities or is interested in requesting a safety demonstration for your school or civic organization.
