MREA is ready to serve as a key partner in assisting cooperatives in emergency situations and/or power restoration.
How we serve
We are connected with the national storm coordinators group, which is made up of individuals from the statewide organizations and cooperatives across the United States. This group coordinates regional, district and national support for emergency assistance.
For our members, we are ready to put out the call on your behalf for crews, equipment and any other needs. Simply contact Lidia Dilley Jacobson, MREA Director of Safety and Loss Control or one of the safety specialists.
Mutual aid tools
Storm response directory — a listing of the cooperatives in Minnesota and their key contacts for emergency assistance. It includes a list of available equipment, crews, etc. and the costs.
Mutual aid packet — guides a co-op with key documents for sending and receiving crews.
Information transfer document — per OSHA, we must inform our incoming crews of the characteristics and conditions of our system. A sample information transfer document is provided.
